ADA National Recognition
ADA National Recognition
We were awarded with a certificate of recognition from the American Diabetes Association for our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program. We meet the national standards set forth by this prestigious association for diabetes management education. Ellen Darnell is the director of this program. Her credentials can be found on this page under her title, Diabetes Educator.
What Does ADA Recognition Mean?
National recognition of our program means that we can be covered by insurance. Every insurance is different, and preventatives aren’t covered by all insurances. However, preventatives are important for your long-term health, so we will work with what coverage you have to the best of our ability. Call your insurance company and ask what your benefits are for Diabetes Education and Medical Nutrition Therapy. Prediabetes screening, Diabetes Education, and Medical Nutrition Therapy can help keep diabetes at bay, and prepare you to effectively manage diabetes.
