A 1 on 1 meeting, classes and pre=pump training with Medtronic company representative Ann Marie Schoenherr, RN, CDE.
Meet Ann Marie Schoenherr:
I am a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator. As one of ten Diabetes Clinical Managers in the Michigan – I provide “Clinical” and “Educational Support” for Medtronic’s Products: the 670G, 630G, 530G and Revel Systems (Personal Continuous Glucose Monitoring System are “fully integrated” into the Medtronic Pumps with varying degrees of automated insulin delivery; the 630G and Revel Insulin Pumps, iPro – the professional CGM (which your doctors own); and Medtronic’s CareLink System.
I have spent much of my adult life trying to help people with diabetes. I have been a volunteer for the American Diabetes Association since October of 1986 – six months after my husband, Andy and I were married and right after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Seven years later (October 1993) our oldest son, Matt, was diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of four. In 2005 I became a Diabetes Educator to try to continue to help others with diabetes and in 2010 I received the American Diabetes Association’s prestigious Diabetes Champion Award. Since there is no “cure” for diabetes – I truly believe the best way to “treat” this disease is through education and using the best tools and technology available to keep blood sugars under “tight” control. After 28 years at St. John Hospital, I joined Medtronic Diabetes Division to work with the best diabetes technology in the world.
